Palace
(Category : Delxe , Executive , Luxury)
130 km southward from Jaipur, Ajmer is an oasis of religious
sanctity. The harmonious blend of Hinduism and Islam gives this
town a unique character. Muslims from many parts of the world
come to worship at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisthi. Even
the great Emperor Akbar came here to seek solace. Other places
of interest include Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra, a pillared mosque
of red sandstone; the 12th century artificial lake, Ana Sagar,
nasiyan, the Jain temple.
Designed as an 18th century "fortress" the 60 well furnished
rooms and the "Family suites" are an architectural marvel, are
centrally air-conditioned and have attached baths and running
hot and cold water.
Sheesh Mahal, overlooking Ana Sagar lake, is a multi-cuisine
restaurant offering a choice of Continental, Chinese, Mughlai
and Rajasthani cuisines with live music. |
